I don't understand. Maggy's most recent posts (Jingle Bell Band and
Pincushions)are .RAR archives, not .ZIP archives. As far as I know, no
version of Windows includes support for .RAR. There are numerous free
packages available which CAN extract files from .RAR, inlcuding jzip,
7zip, and the not-free WinRAR (the original). The Pincushions aren't
even a multi-part post, and don't have to be combined.
I also have no idea what an 'encrypt' file is. Maggy's posts are not
encrypted. It may have something to do with your Windows Live Mail
settings. In general, Windows Live Mail, Outlook, Outlook Express, and
Thunderbird aren't recommended for downloading messages from newsgroups,
because they don't natively (or easily) support multi-part posts or the
commonly used yEnc encoding.
