Get or buy a copy of DRW. It is a file recovery programme that will recover
all files if they are not overwritten yet. When files are deleted they are
only destroyed in the directory by destroying the first letter of the file
name.  I loaned it to a friend and it recovered every photo from over 200
pictures inside his camera, at the end of a USB cable,  after his grandson
formatted the digital film memory and they took many more photos on top of
them.

The software was about $5 and was an instant download to get and use
immediately. I would be sure there would be many other programmes out there
to do the same thing.  bought it about 10 years ago (Win 98) and it still
works under Win 7.

Best of luck!
