You think that latest "Disaster Blaster" (Lady Di) didn't know what
they were doing?
Sorry.. I disagree.. strongly.
That has all been done before today.. here and elsewhere on
Usenet binary froups.
"blow in. criticise - whilst showing clearly there isn't a brain
engaged - load the place with crap. then buzz off.
You around when "Internet Chick" posted.. and a few immediately
after that poster "lifted the skirt" and flounced off??
>Yeah... but they only "think" they is anonymous.
/ cue Sybil
heh
As in "profile"..?.. maybe, yeh.
But that said, anyone caring to do the work and look around will
easily find me elsewhere. That 'style' is deliberate, though mind
you a few have tried copying it.. not successfully<weg>
I would think you too could claim same?
So that is two.. no?
As I see it.. there aint nuffin innit that the Gummint doan already have.
The things that worry me are like Yahoo has just changed their interface
again and *now* you doan get in your mail box until you Do provide an
alternate _valid_ address.
The scary bit is they prompt you with another of your Yahoo email
addresses. Now.. I am *very* careful my browser (Opera) does not
"dob me in" but whadda-ya-noe.. up comes one of my more errr 'sekrit'
addresses as a "recommendation". How did Yahoo bot know that address?
I have no histories maintained in my surfing, and delete every "cookie" on
exit from the session. And yeh. I doan swap from one address to the other
in the same session... and I make sure my IPN rotates on login.. next
session.
The clincher is.. when you provide an address, and Yahoo lets you at your
mail, you are prompted with new mail from Admin which proceeds to
congratulate you on updating your data!
What braindead programmer thought that 'strategy' up.
Like.. hello..! you are "locked out" until you do provide the data..!
Then there is Hotmail.. that server wont let you in until you "upgrade" your
whole
freakin' browser software!
yep.. THEY want your data.. it is worth Squillions!
nup.
... I feel better for it. No "grandstanding" jus' trying to avert "chicks"
as
yourself - as kindly intended as it is - from urging me to "reach out".
I understand much better now why it was Don sat back more
than I thought he should, rightly. And why it was that the few that
learnt digitising here took to the road once they knew enough to "get by".
I see something _I_ want to do.. it gets done. In my time. Period.
Indeed so.. and more to the point, a growth of vacuousness that is
fast becoming overwhelming. Now, WHEN Google Groups falls
over, which it will , we can only expect "more of the same" as those
unfortunates also flock to NSPs in reaching their 'haunts' around Usenet.
Interesting times ahead, again.
And the NH winter approaches, rapidly<g.
ummm.. no? I had my own game to play in amongst it all.
And nobody can deny that even when done as "fun" there is always
something learnt from building each work.. even if only partially done.
Which reminds me.. I forgot to attach that work last post.. so here
it is now .. mheh heh
Not during those times I was busting me gut in the boiler room
of Life, no.. the thought never crossed my mind.
I hear the jungle drums beating.. gotta go look :-)
