"Partnership".... such a tacky word to describe a union of souls.
"This is my partner..." /shudder... how demeaning is that??
But oh, so politically correct.... meheheh.

I dunned both "experiences"... you??
When you've dunned both... then we'll chat about exacery how much
"bang" you get for your "buck" in each case... /raises eyebrows...
mehehhhe
One doesn't have to get married. But one shouldn't pretend that
calling it a "partnership" makes it sound better...
I would rather not call it anything, than call it a partnership...
How sterile??!!!
"This is my non gender specific roommate" is what it says!!

I think I missed the decline of Usenet. I got here
too late to see how it was before Outlook Express
and "easy Usenet for all" took over.

I prefer "empathy" to sympathy...
I always hold hope that those shown a better way, will run with it.
Simply cos they see the better way.
Yeah, I know... it's not how it always works.

As another example of the decline...
Had Austar on my doorstep again last week.../laff
(for the rest of the world, Austar is a pay tv mob)
I grinned and sayed "I'm the only one in the street wiffout a dish,
aye? That must represent a challenge to ya's"
The guy laughed and sheepishly said yes... meheheh.
We have SIXTEEN channels for FREE... why would I pay to have to watch
my Husband flick through even more channels???!!!
He had no answer... :-D

Can you imagine that actually happening??
Getting between a GenY and His/Her link to their real world??
/laff... THAT would CAUSE civil unrest... /giggle...
Like GB being cut off TN for a couple of weeks... he musta gone truly
insane with sitting there constantly clicking the go button, waiting

I ain't so sure the majority have a clue... you??
It doan seem to take much to start a riot.
That's the sad bit.
When you find your President/Prime Minister is on Twitter...
/rolls eyes...
The first four letters of Twitter being TWIT...
/hands in the air...
You saw Barry o' Feral tweeted the other day that He and His wife
went to a screwing... apparently it was meant to say screening...
Sure it was, Barry...

The loo's at the club here have real braille on all doors.
Even on our wheelie bins!!
I've never seen a V being used.
Since it obviously diddun stand for "Vegans" (think about the reasons
for that) ... mebbe it stood for "Virgins"...
Lots of those around.... ROFL

Not sure why you were handling it... but I'm too much of a Laaaady to
ask.... /laff
Soooooo... the question begs....
What was the letter on the bloke's loo door??
Or was it a picture??... Cos blokes can't read?? ... meheheh

Crinkle cut chips absorb more fat in the cooking process cos of a
greater surface area...
And went out of style in the 70's... /snicker...

I kinda like the gold coins we have now, but they must be annoying for
a bloke. They are heavy once you get a pocketful.
We arsed up the sizing of them though. The 1's are bigger'n the 2's.
In NZ it's the other way around. We're always over paying for stuff
over there. The Kiwi's realise this and "forget" to give you change,
cos you aren't expecting it!!
/grin

Arhh yes, so everything starts to warm up after next Tuesday...??
We've still got to get through August. August is always the killer for
us. /brrrrrr
Thick frost here this morning.
Northern sun is a cracker about 11am though. If we doan freeze to
death waitin' for it... /grin

Slow start here. Went swimming last night (heated pool) and paid for
