Thanks Herb. Disengaged Embird on my last computer years ago when it
did a Hitler and took over like it owned the place! I wasn't impressed
with it. A personal thing, doan write me!
BTW, what version of Embird?? I asked two people here who had Embird
and they couldn't convert it. One has a cracked version and the other
is local with a purchased version.
I wasn't sure if it was a version collision this time as sometimes I
have trouble with the newer PES stuff and have to use Wilcom to open
them.
PHC doesn't seem to have a fanbase here in Oz. We seem to be a bunch
of Janome and Hus owners :-)
No one ever asks for a conversion of the few that are posted here and
I wondered just how many do open them for a look initially. I have a
small folder of PHC stuff I cannot open. Since a double computer
disaster, I haven't reloaded the stuff I don't use (Embird being just
one).
Thanks again.

So it's an old Brother format?? Predates PES??
It must predate it by a lot because I am running VIP (10 year old
program, purchased with all updates until its demise) and it has never
acknowledged it.
A goggle search tells me PE Design 7 knows what it is too. But I guess
a Brother program should! That would prolly mean the previous PE's do
too. I think I have one of those hding in the scrap box here.
/scounge ... scrounge... here we go, PE 6. Dunno if it works.
Brother is not so popular a machine here in Oz. Not because it isn't a
good machine, we just don't have the population to support all brands.
Babylock embroidery machines are not sold here at all for example.
Always fun explaining where I found a Babylock design... mehehe.
I might give Embird a run on the older spare computer if you can tell
me the versions that open PHC.
