Don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out.
We kown you will be back (OCD) but in the meantime we will enjoy the
solitude and peacefulness that comes when a student goes on a work term
without computer access.
Come back rested and act like a real human being. We welcome your input with
open arms. Stay out of the theatres..it is fogging your brain.

Pixie <Pixie@AnnWheatley.com.invalid>:sayed
[..]
Just a response, Pixie.. my horse awaits.
Full of good oats -- and little gas -- that trusty steed shall see
me borne once more to places afar.. and away from this
place:-D

>Nice dodge of the "sitting eight abreast in the front seat"...
>That's the nerdy bit...
>Misery loves company...
>Break out the soggy SAO's...
>rofl
>
Dodged, m'Dear, as the statement was assuming there
was at least one lady in that front seat.
The thought of 17 persons in the front seat of an FJ
just seemed preposterous, assuming it was an even
split on each nipple :->>>>
>Oh... and I never did figure out what twin cams had to do wiff door
>handles... bein' a girl an' all... it was beyond me.../giggle.
>
A geared action which makes it very easy on the wrist to open the
door. For nerds a prime purchase consideration :-D
>Always sounded like a nerd thing to me!! /laff
>Mebbe you could shed some light on that??... bein' an exshpurt on all
>things nerdy an' that like...
>/snicker...
>
Unlike many, I study that which confuses me.
Learning for me is not a hobby nor something "to do".. tis an
existence :-)

>Is all about "choice". Art is a personal thing.
>One man's Picasso is another man's juvenile delinqent drawing.../laff
>Frankly, Picasso should have been drowned at birth!!
>Meh!!!
>
I can see many sewers would agree with you.
The silence is deafening.
"Cultural peasants" might just fit?
>You doan want anyone screwing with your carefully chosen colours
>later. Is all.
>Too bad. So sad! It's gonna happen.
>
I am afraid all I have written is in vain?
Of course _some_ are going to change the colours.
For the same reasons we see purple bathrooms
installed in passive contemporary(design) condos.
However even though the desire is there the majority will
do little.
Why?
Removing a few simple layers of "logo" over a design being
a task so onerous as to warrant publishing of the ignorance.
"Carnt use it cos it has your logo onet"... was the comment
paraphrased... IIRC :-/
Carnt manage a simplicity as that how the bloody hell are they
going to work through stops?

>Digitisers want to make money. Colour blind purchasers doan mean
>nuffin' to a digitiser.
>Most people only change colours.
>That is expected as people have "choice". Something you have always
>championed btw...
>
Indeed so. However what we see here in ABCP is an assumption
digitisers are mind readers. As that is impossible it can be safely
assumed the recipient is looking only to have the general body of work
done. The rest can be 'altered' once the design is in the hand.
I do not see that as "choice".
In my view it is an abuse of any appreciation of the digitisers work
in attempting interpretation of a banner post, at best :-/
Example?
"Can someone plz digitize this LOGO, thank you!".
I have come to understand why it is folks like <klompjie> vamoosed.
Why expert digitisers as Don chose to use the place as a "fun pit"
not contributing much of their time in doing designs. Why it is
pretenders in the form of <holita> and <dre_v@t.com> think it
is fine to play with requestors. As much as I loathe that latter
action I can empathise with what can be seen as a waste of good time.
It would not be truthful to say I am immune to the actions those
persons mentioned took/take, having learnt their minimalist level of
the craft.
I can point to a certain lady, who, having proved she couldn't sew for
shit in stuffing up my BSA design, then moved on to attempt to show
her 'alteration' finished the work. Poor bastard that was given that
polo shirt likely threw it straight in the bin!!
I aint finished learning yet but I have seen enough to know it is
pointless to spend any real effort on digi projects here in ABCP.
Wilcom boasts 110,000 clients as a supported user base.
I can identify just two as sometime digitisers to ABCP.
And to that number there are none -- beside yourself -- willing to
interact in learning... in a positive way,
I add that to my reasons given earlier for retiring <hopper>:
<sRnzo.74225$ZM.13058@en-nntp-02.dc1.easynews.com>
The news is.. I am retiring "hopper"... for
the reasons I state in the previous post--
<YyLxo.356154$rT.158464@en-nntp-06.dc1.easynews.com>
I do not **need** a presence in any one group. I am quite able to
"float" around Usenet. There is where I came from six years ago.. it
is where I now move to.
If it is thought I am seen then I am not doing my job<g>
>Not such a champion when it is your colours they are changing??
>/smirk....
>Ooh! You is blushing again... mehehe.
>
Not at all.. and I am truly surprised with your twist in that
direction.
I assume it is mere excitement at besting me on other points.
Wise people know each dog has its day :-}
I am the student in digitising. I expect criticism.
>Oh poop... You know what affects "depth" more than colour??
>Stitch direction... And the correct "layering" of the colours. Doan
>matter that the jeans are blue or black... as long as they are
>stitched on top of the legs/sox/shoes and stitched in a direction that
>lends them to looking like jeans...
>Roll that in yer banana leaf and smoke it over your Christmas break...
>Lemme know next year your thoughts... /grin
>CAD that!!! /laff
>
Indeed I shall.
I look forward to many hours.. in that other place.
>Linework presents no sense of depth... bad example...
>/snicker... even if it is too cute!!
Why thank you.. the intention was an example, but I
accept gladly what I get:-)
>Yeah... $50M for a horse... who does that but someone wiff nuffin'
>else to do with their money??
>
ummm.. the philanthropic?
>For $25 I can buy a family a goat, or some chickens.
>
Then let the Universe buy them.
>With that they have milk or eggs, can breed it and have more food.
>You tell me which is better spent??
>
You miss the bit about where the neighbour gets hungry and eats the
goat, sells the chickens, and buys Coca Cola to wash down the goat?
>The $50M (that feeds no one) or the $25 that feeds a whole family?
>
Yes, once.. and not the recipient.
>I could buy 2M goats for that...
>
Good luck finding that many for sale.. at that price.
After the first 100 the market would sense a need and double the
price.. and so on and so on.
Known as "FREE MARKET ECONOMIES" :->>>
Stick to sewing.. leave the goats to the Bob Geldorfs of this World.
You have great arguments.. just no music to sell it with..!!
/snuckles
>Start fixin' the starvation crisis in just one country in a day...
>Gee, no one's thought of that yet... horses are just soooo important.
>
Nooo... "horse racing" ... feeeds millions.
Millions who feed billions.
an', btw.. I do not do "horse racing".. aint got that many millions<g>
>Jus' GORGEOUS!!!
>Catching flies today!! More clever'n some dumb horse!! /laff
>
I would hope so :-)
>Just digitise using colours that appeal. That's all ya haveta worry
>about.
>/pokes pointy stick....
>You is gonna be a troublesome student... /grin
>
weeelll if yourself and company are still "into it" in that other
place, in 2011...yes indeed :-).
Nothing like an interactive 'lesson'..!!
Good Luck in ABCP.. keep yer nose clean,, find
some others as switched on as you and you will all be fine.
Do not concern yourselves with the likes of Gymmy Bob/Josepi.
Usenet will take good care of IT.
Merry Xmas for 2010 and may you and yours enjoy
a safe healthy 2011.
