Not sure what you are asking here, Bob.
You want to convert DST to "something else"??
Or you want colour charts from the files which
are "true colour".??
AFAIK.. DST contains all the info - re colour - so it IS "plug n
play" in respect of feeding the designs into your Bernina... if it can
read those files.

Sorry for the confusion Bob. This guy (above with a assorted readers) has no
clue about embroidery as he doesn't own a machine or embroider, at all.
DST contains no colour information, only needle changes.
Colour charts are provided, on the side, on professional machines, because
of this. Most other pattern files contain the colour information as part of
the binary files.
If you do not like the colour information provided just substitute you own.
Your Bernina could not provide colour information for a DST pattern becasue
there is none in the file.
The typical colours assigned would be
needle 1 = green
needle 2 = blue
needle 3 = red
etc...
These colours are only provided for the digitized or sewer to identify
needle changes. You provide the colour of thread for each needle. This is
why the colour document **Must** be provided with professional patterns.
They set up all the needle spools (6-10-12 colours) and the machine changes
needles according to the pattern information. AT home on a single needle
machine **YOU*** change the colours each needle change / pause.
We found, through experience the speced colours have been convertes back and
forth from brand to brand to pattern binary format that the colours are
mostly useless. Pick your own.
best of luck.
