The line settings were fine, for both postings.
As long as the line amount stays under 10000, then most servers will
handle it ok.
The 6666 lines thing in the T00ls instructions is just a humour thing
on Hopper's behalf, and a guide for those not able to pick a number
themselves :-D
You can have anything you like under 10000 lines and still be in the
good books with most Servers.
We've all made posting boo boos with size at one stage or another!
Yes!! Even Hopper! You know you are learning when you know when He
does it!! ... um, keep it to yourself and just laugh though...! He
knows He does it... He's just lookin' to see if anyone else noticed!
Herb has posted binary to a text only group!! That was funny!
I get a bit dyslexic meself.
Shit happens!
We get over ourselves, own it, have a laugh and try not to do it
again. :-)

Everyone should see both. Size was under 10000 lines both times.
We would like a hint as to what's inside though!
You can either change the group properties --
Group/Default Properties/Sending Files
to insert the file name in the subject line (Include Attachment
Filename in Subject). But if you attach more than one rar, it won't do
it because it can't insert two file names.
Please don't attach more than one rar in any single posting as some
are doing. That may fall over for a lot of receivers.
or
Ideally, if you don't want the filename in the subject line -
You could set the properties to Send Text as Preface (0/N) Section.
This will keep any text you write separate from the attached rar, so
people can read what you say first, and then decide if they want the
attachment. Like I did for the Luther Rose. My text stayed separate so
I could have a chat and explain what's inside without those who don't
want the rose having to download the whole thing (even though it was
small).
Be aware though, if you choose the Send Text as Preface option and you
answer in a thread AND attach a file, it will become a separate post,
AWAY from the thread you thought you were answering.
You may have noticed in threads as soon as people change the subject
line they were answering it becomes a new single post, by itself.
Outlook Express users don't see this as OE just joins everything
together in a huge mess! They don't understand that proper newsreaders
put things in a proper order.
Nice work!
Pixie :-))
