Yes, we noticed that.
There was a decided lack of any specifications. At all.

You get now that you must not be in a group that meets your specific
"intelligence" requirements??
You wanted "intelligent mindreaders"....
That's over in alt.binaries.telepathy

Ok.
Let's just back up here.
You sayed... and I do slowww...
"Can anybody pls help me out with PE Design Ver 3?"
And that's ALL you said.
Twice. Banner posting both times.
Banner posting is putting your request in the subject line and saying
sweet nothing else in the body.
As Herb succinctly put it " You didn't say what kind of help you
needed.."
>Anayway - NEVER would I have thought this simple request would turn a bunch

Not quite correct either.
Nobody had any idea at all of what you actually wanted.
When you got testy that people didn't understand your telepathic
shorthand, then you just lost any hope of anyone helping you.
>O.K. Here is your chance to attack ME some more

Well... bloody stand still.... mehehe.
Now you are just being a sook...

Please... get down... your soap box is getting wet (from dribble)...
you'll slip.

Yes. It is no wonder at all, considering the age of most of them when
they got here... Quite mature aged student is the norm in here.
A lot are dead. An unfortunate lot are dead.
A few were exposed via email, due to handholding with prats and are
now missing in action.
Don (bless His Wiccan ways) and Jean (blessedly gone) are just two
recently demised that were prolific posters. Each in their own way.

You're telling the story...

And this is important because??
Even Herb didn't have a clue as to what you requested.

As far as I am aware, the original abcp group wandered off aimlessly
and the room was empty. Sharers of embroidery binary needed a binary
group as ASME was text only. They just moved in and hung up nice
curtains.
It's actually a good thing being so oddly named. You get here if you
look hard enough. It's not a glaring invitation to all the copyright
police that we are in here. It's not a secret. But you have to look a
little harder to find it.
Being the caring, sharing mob that we are, you can ask for anything
embroidery related in here and if someone is able to help, then they
usually do. That is extremely unusual for a binary group (the scope of
the help).
That is usually only when the request is understood.
Intelligent requesting is not happening so much these days.

So??
Neither am I. Neither is Hopper (the real one). Neither is Herb.
Your point?
A nice bunch are English. You cannot tell from their headers where
they are from??
>That should give you some more ammo to attack with.....
>
You really have a chip on your shoulder, aye?
I looked for a version 3 of PE Design for you, after you established
what you thought you wanted.
I don't have one.
Herb obviously didn't have one either.
Hopper posted a working version in the hope it would help you.
You did nothing to explain about the old reader/writer and PC.
Perhaps He thought it would help until you found your disks?
More verbs and adjectives were needed on your part.
Do not make the mistake that if you don't get what you want, then
people are deliberately holding back on you.
Hopper has one of the most comprehensive program archives in this
group. If He couldn't get you what you wanted, then it hasn't been
posted here in quite a long time.
Do not look your gift horse in the mouth.
>Enjoy!!
>
You just enjoy that humble pie you are eating.
People who know how to post looked for a Ver 3 for you. If it was on
hand for anyone that can post, then you would have it.
=================================
As an aside for anyone reading this.
Just because you ask, doesn't mean anyone has it.
If it doesn't turn up, stop taking offence. It just means no one has
it at the moment. Or they are using Grabit/Newsleecher/Outlook Express
and can't post for nuts!
As the requester, it is poor form to think you are being victimised if
you don't get what you want first go.
Pixie :-))
