1/ You will never be sure who you gave your email address to.
2/ You will never be sure who the person you trusted it with
first, fwd'ed it onto. Sleep with one, sleep with all.
Treat email like the AIDS virus... and I'm sure you don't
want THAT .../grin
Trading designs via email will get you the same result.
No life, once you are convicted.
It is a terminal sentence for your embroidery hobby.
3/ This "let's all email and be friends" thing has been tried
many times before in this group. Mostly by impatient
newcomers. It was tried once that I know of by a known
scam artist. A few Ladies were very burnt circa 2004/5.
Be friendly in this group. I encourage it.
I do not encourage stoopidity though.
4/ How do you trust that the small digitisers that frequent this
group won't join and collect your emails and then proceed to
prosecute you??
Greetings to Sadia and Bettie.
Two small time digitising "wannabe queens" that have made much
trouble for this group in their time. Happy to download
every design from other houses. Not so happy when their pissy
efforts were posted.
You may notice those designs are not posted now.
5/ Why is it better to email a heap of people you don't know and
risk exposure, when you could post the designs ONCE to this
group SAFELY??
6/ It sounds more like an elitist "I have it, you can't have it"
kind of group that is being formed. /shrug
I remember one time this was tried. One of the email group
proceeded to post the files to this group. All out war broke
out amongst the emailers... /grin.
Apparently the group thought that only they would be
"sharing".
But that is what happens Ladies. Once it leaves your email
box, you have no control what happens to it.
At least if you put it in here, you do it safely, and whatever
happens to it at the new home, won't be any worry to you.
Ladies... wake up to yourselves.
You are not focussing on your personal safety.
Here we have a perfectly safe group, where posting has survived for
many a year before m/any of you got here.
Why start emailing?
If you are so keen to go buy stuff, then buy it and post it.
There are design houses that would just LOVE to join your emailing
group and once enough of you have joined, you will ALL be getting
summonses in the mail.
Start saving for the fine.
Get a grip Ladies.
Your personal safety is paramount.
Who is going to run a security check on the person emailing so that
they are deemed a "non threat" to the rest of the emailers??
Most of you can't tell the difference between the two hoppers, how are
you going to know that the lamer hopper hasn't joined your email list
and is compiling a list of your names for the FBI??
Short answer, you don't.
Think about what you are doing. This group will survive long after
email is dead.
The time has come to stop being sensitive about posting like prats.
Now you want to email like prats.... /smacks forehead...
If you don't know how and want to post to this group, ask.
But telling the people who are trying to help you post that they don't
know shit from clay is just ludicrous.
