I was hoping that by encouraging the masses to have a crack at their
own digitising, there would be less requests and just more "doing"
from the people that are currently "asking".
Wishing and fishing on my behalf??
Instead of turning you and Herb into digitising slaves, perhaps those
cottage workers could be encouraged to do their own work.
That was what I was hoping for.
Teaching ppl what to ask for, thereby empowering them with the first
points of digitising (knowing what is wanted) can only inspire them to
try themselves?? No?
If nothing else, get them to realise just how difficult some of the
requests really are.
You would view a posted attempt "how can I improve this??" with more
enthusiasm than a demand for the impossible from someone who doesn't
understand the complexity of what they have asked for.
