Bullshit.
There is not a file on Usenet servers I cannot retrieve _should I choose to_
w i t h a newsreader.
The only way you can have not had the headers for that post is for someone
to have passed the article number to you another way outside of NNTP.
There then is how you knew of the post.
Dig deeper.
