Did you check if the retention of giganews go past the time you
mention?
The retention of a newsserver is the time the server will keep the
files.
After that time the files will fall off the server and then the nzb
file is of no use anymore.
beside that a nzb file does not pull a truckload of headers from a
server, they only pull the headers of the post in the nzb file.
Maybe you should tell about what nzb you are talking about then i can
have a look at my server.
Nzb files are made because "newsreaders" just only pull a max of
headers from a server even if there are more headers on the server.
In general that is 2,000,000 headers and it does not matter how old
those headers are.
I guess there is a option in your newsbin to not only set the age to
400 days but also the max amount of headers you want to pull in one
session and 1150 posts can have 2,000,000 headers if they are large
files split up into small parts.
