I was downloading the e-books until it just got tooooo busy for my
connection. I love Nora Roberts. Finally got an mp3 player in the car
(yes, joined the 21st century!) and can now listen if we go away.
Modern technology! Ya gotta love it!

Keep that close in here. It will serve you well.

And what is the main supporting argument of the "beaver" posters.
They know people (most, but not all) now have speed, time and will
just sit there at their computer until something does arrive.
This is not intelligent thinking!!!
A beaver poster is someone that throws up post after post, without
taking breath, and "dams up" the group. if the posts are crappy, then
they repost it and more rubbish piles up.
>I have learned or at least trying to keep up with the posters who are

Good stuff is ALWAYS reposted, eventually. If you see something you
would like, ask for a credible poster to repost it. Not a
newsbin/newsleecher/grabit poster.....

Herb knows his vegetables.
Then again....!! Remember that girl, the only one!! who couldn't get
your post Herb!! /grin.... it was a file just for Her and twice I had
to repost it to Her...... fun times in here! Everyone, and I mean
EVERYONE else could see it.... just not Her!
We all learn how to get things to each other in the end.
And by doing so, we learn better ways to do it.
>fact, in his own way, Hopper has been a great help.

Hopper only knows His own way. As do we all.
Please don't crucify Him (totally!) for that.
You will not find anyone in here who knows more about computers than
Him.
He only has to see anyone trying a little and He will persevere.
He hears one "I caaaaan't"... and it's petrol on a fire.
He pulled LittleMissMe's hair so hard it had to have started falling
out! Even I was embarrassed!
Was a bit bald there meself for a while..../laff..... but I had lots
of questions..... /laff.......

Ooh!!..... doan push Him.... /giggle.... specially if you are wrong!
Hopper has to be "reverse proved".
By that, you have show you are right in your computer thinking.
If you show how you got to your way of thinking, about said computer
problem, He could prolly show you why it is "wrong".....
He's a Man. It's how they work. You can't just tell them they are
wrong, you have to show them. You are married!! You know how it
works!!
He gets "testy" when He sees people either putting themselves in
danger (online) or putting others in danger.
Like that parent that pulls the kid out of the way of the car, then
gives it the hiding of its life...../grin

You wil learn a lot doing that. And you don't have to do it in a day.

That is a problem in here. Stroking people who don't deserve it.
Observers who are not so savvy, then think the miscreants are the
heros of the piece. It's a double edged sword.
Yeah, I've seen Jean do the odd nice thing..... then turn on that
person the second they thanked someone he didn't like.....
Be careful of that.
>So please trust me that I'm not some rube off a farm and being taken

I could tell. That was why I was determined to reverse prove it to
Hopper..... /grin.....
He does arc up.... well, Yanks think it like that. But I hear the
Aussie accent and it's "normal" down here to call a spade a shovel
when someone is doing something "not quite right".... okay, dumb!
We are an island, we don't pander to the "have a nice day" thinking
when it is clearly raining cats and dogs on a weekend we were going to
the beach.... /grin.
My teaching edict is to assess the pupil and teach what they "hear".
Not all pupils hear the same thing the same way.
Hopper is not so keen on this approach! He forgets we don't understand
computer speak.
That is not to say we can't learn it!
We just won't learn it in a day like He did!.... So He says...../grin
He DOES understand "I don't get this bit here [insert bit]"
When He knows which bit is pulling you up, He will address it.
>I just try to stay out of the frey unless someone says

I jump in when someone is just outright lying to their back teeth!
It bugs me!
>Take care,

You too!
I have a photo of me when I was six months old. My Dad is helping me
sit up, with His hand in the middle of my back.
He was dead 12 months later.
To this day, I still feel that hand in the middle of my back, holding
me up.
Everyone in here has a story to tell. One day, they may stop whining
about trivialities long enough to remember others do too.

No, thank YOU!
