PHILADELPHIA, Sept. 18, 2008 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Former Soviet
leader and Nobel Peace Prize winner Mikhail Gorbachev was presented
with the National Constitution Center's 2008 Liberty Medal tonight for
his courageous role in ending the dangerous, decades-long Cold War and
in giving hope and freedom to millions who lived behind the Iron
Curtain.  President Gorbachev accepted the prestigious Medal in a
public ceremony at 7:00 p.m. at the National Constitution Center on
Independence Mall in Historic Philadelphia.

I live only 5 hours from Philadelphia and attended the presentation.
It was a very moving ceremony. Mr. Gobachev presented himself with the
staid diginity and bearing of a true  leader and champion of freedom
from  International supremacy. Now, can we put aside the political
banter and get back to what we know best and forget what you know
nothing about?
