If you Google "Download Audacity" and install the app, you will find that it comes with a very good tutorial/help manual. Believe me, if I could learn to use it, anyone can learn to use it. It can divide a big file into smaller parts, join 2 or more files together (for example, to create a medley of several songs), make a file louder or softer. People also use it to reduce noise, for example on a music file ripped from a vinyl record or cassette tape. I haven't done that myself, but I recommend you try Audacity and you'll find your own uses for it.
