Meaning lucky that they don't kill me? Like Mike Lombardi

Believe me, they want to kill me and let me know, all the time.
They can. They want to. They do not refrain because they are nice.
"Nice" and "restrained" are not in their vocabulary.
They don't, for now, only because I can keep one step ahead
of the bastards.
To be provocative in this climate is neither naive nor
particularly courageous, really more of an indifference to
danger in a scenario that is intolerable for its ugliness and rot.
"Naive" is the term to describe a great many people who think
that they are sophisticates, then will look at you with blank
expressions and say, "Who is Gary Webb"? "Who is Marge Schoedinger"?
Such people have no opinions. They think that they do,
but you may as well be talking to children.
