Timmah,
You have my deepest sympathy's:;  any disturbance in "The Force" effects us
all at different levels of being.  Trusting your equipment won't fail you is
a dream...Porn corrupts completely...I too have a couple of disturbed
"dll's" that I wish I knew how to banish from my realm???  Something has
gotten into an IE component and keeps me from connecting with links
sometimes..With fxxkin' XP guarding the system, You can't just erase and
replace..and I don't know the proper sequence to absolve my PC of its ills.
No, I don't have a Sony burner but a recent Matsushita dual layer DVD-RAM
burner that is a few months old and hopefully will gracefully grow old
without perplexing me as yours does You!
Hang in there and keep pluggin' away...I had a couple of free recovery
proggies that worked good for me in past situations..
I kept swapping files from one HD to another until I duplicated everything
and ended up with twice as much (dupes with new file names)  I'll see how I
do in filling a few requests here...that's the best I can do to aid You in
your time of turmoil and dispair !! upallnite
