As far as the movie goes, there were little things thrown in about the
Matrix and Scientology.
Reeves' character says things like "There is no sheep." in the Matrix
voice as in "There is no spoon."
And all the bashing of psychiatry and then the cult at the farm at the
very end just reminded me of Scientologists.
Now that you've seen the movie you can see that Winona was Reeves' cop
boss all the time, you can see it in her movements and gestures.
But all in all, it wasn't much of a role for Winona to work with.
I just personally think that she is looking much better she put more
weight on and looks more mature. Hopefully, she got off the drugs.
The ending of Scanner Darkly sucked big time.
