Btw, I forgot to mention: Both of them no Noni flicks...just in case
there were any misunderstandings with any potential reader of this
post...

Yeah, nice movie with great soundtrack that created quite a bit of buzz
in the US, as far as I know. It never really caught on that well here
in Germany, mostly because it never made it into the big German
cinemas. So it was mostly known to people who liked to keep an eye on
what's going on in cinemas abroad and the import DVD market. But now
there's some (supposedly not-so-great) director's cut that might make
it into the cinemas here. At least that's what a friend told me. I'm
not really that big a cineast, mostly because I don't have as much time
to dedicate to movies as I would like to, so I'm always a bit out of
the loop with that kinda stuff and hope none of my info were too far
off. But the bottom line is that it's a nice flick.

Some sci-fi/social-fiction flick with Uma Thurman, Ethan Hawke and Jude
Law from 1997. Probably not a milestone in the eyes of the lovers of
the genre, but it features a very nice and impressive atmosphere, a
good story, interesting characters and a good score. I was quite fond
of it, when I first saw it.
