Dear Socks,
I do agree with you completely. There seems to be a disproportionate
number of Russian boys with lit cigarettes in the general photographic
genre of Boy Photography. My first thought, when I see a boy smoking,
is, "He looks so fresh and innocent ... I suspect his breath relieves
that misconception right away!" Not to mention the odor of his
clothes and hair.
Still, I am sure he smokes for social effect ... it seems to be a
requisite if you are to be a Emo-non-conformist-post-Gothic.
