Dear Sparks,
Thank you for your nice compliment. I should tell you, and no doubt
you already realise, that news groups have been under attack for
allowing little or no oversight of the content of their uncensored
posting policies--in other words, uncensored--and because of
potentially serious legal ramifications, have removed one or more
groups deemed "offensive" by certain self-appointed crusaders against
this and that.
Easynews has always been very good with retention and ease of posting,
but has succumbed to pressures to remove certain groups, including
afp. EN has also been rather quirky over the last several months.
Astraweb is highly reliable, is seemingly less pliant regardiang
censorship demands being made on servers, but has a rather severe
terms-of-use policy regarding posting of pictures. Many prefer
Giganews. Before choosing any news server, I would strongly suggest
you review the provider policies with a mind to what would be
accomodate your needs.
Best of Luck,
HMS Victor Victorian
