Joy! I heard today from a mutual aquaintance that he is not going as far
away I thought - relatively close actually!
After yesterday's emotional crash to almost-but-not-quite-rock bottom,
this sounds like a miracle so I dare not get my hopes up until this is
confirmed, though I already have got my hopes up, of course. But I may
indeed see him again, DudeWithTheHair!
Thank you for the sweet song and expressions of understanding and
encouragement from you and the sainted Victor.
I can't help but feel silly, being so emotional over someone so
young, but I am, and have been before,
Then again, no-one ever thinks it's silly, or just plain socially
and psychologically invalid, for parents, or uncles, or grandparents,
cousins, nurses, just about any random woman, or close teachers, to be
emotionally deeply tied to young-uns. That kind of love is held to be
acceptable and privileged.
