Solomon's Private File #18
These stories about Stephen and Solomon take place starting in
1950's. Stephen wrote about his life in letters to a penpal, and then
in a secure blog, in case he lost his memory again, in the master
computer in his school for gifted students, which he started attending
in 2016 in a new incarnation, until his death. Now his son Solomon is
attending the same school, and is writing in his own secure blog for
his future incarnations.
All characters are fictitious, even if some of them might have names
that belong to some actual people, or act like people we know.
Solomon is 12 in this story, in the late Winter of 2038-2039

I said to my students, "Any questions before we try something
different?" George said, "I have one. What if we do same sex pairs in
PK?" I said "You can do that, but in this kind of thing, the more
difference there is between people, the better the result." Kam said,
"That means we can't do the same with different partitions in our
minds?" I said, "You can, if you want to get really tired very fast,
not lifting much." They said, "Oh." I said, "Do you think some adults
tried some of that, after I showed you?" They all grinned. Galya said,
"What were the results?" I said, "All I know is they tried what was
suggested today. I think they didn't want to tell me the results."
REALLY big grins.
Daren said, "Why didn't they know it wouldn't work?" I said "That's
very interesting. To me, anyway. My father started all this as a
science. Maybe a little too much so, for some things. The paired power
pole, like in opposing magnetic poles, is a very old concept in the
occult and witchcraft. Just because it isn't science as we know it,
doesn't mean we shouldn't examine and experiment with it. There might
be a kernel of scientific truth in it. Want to know more of why Dad
might not have considered it?" Kam said "Absolutely!" I said, "Alright,
but I won't tell Dad you said that." She laughed. The others grinned at
us. I said, "Much of what we know as psionics originated among ancient
Priests. Male dominated religions tend to keep the genders separate and
unequal. They wouldn't have dreamed of even considering equal genders
using power together. Some societies, such as the ancient Celts,
started with a female centric religion, and sometimes joined with their
men, Druids, in power pole pair activities. That continues to this day
in the modern religion of Wicca, but they mostly have lost the
knowledge of how to make it actually work. Ha! Pete is almost kicking
himself. As our best ethnologist, he thinks he should have known that."
More gigantic grins. I said, "He should remember that none of us are
perfect."
I said, "Today, we are in for some surprises, and maybe even for my
father. We might, if we get to it, explain why he can do something most
of the rest of us can't, and then we will do it. Oh, I can almost see
his ears grow bigger." They laughed really well. Pete, in my mind, even
more. I said, "To start, remember in our last lesson, with the use of
PK, the room got colder?" They did. I said, "Why not cause that
intentionally? Oh, I see your interest, and some of you see some
possibilities. Before each of you are pairs of stone blocks, in full
contact. They are equal in temperature. Feel both of them with your
object sense and PK. You should be able to feel the energy in them."
Some didn't right away, but eventually did. I said, "When I say begin,
extend your PK to and into the blocks, and will the energy from one
block into the other. This is a process, so you have to keep
concentrating on it until the transfer has progressed as far as you
want it to, which is enough so you can feel the difference in
temperatures with your hands. Ready? Begin!" They all did very well,
and produced a lot of wows. I said, "If I could eat all the wows I
cause, I would never be hungry." They laughed. I said, "Want to see an
advanced version of that?" They really did, so I ported a bowl of water
to the center of the table. Slowly, a ball of ice formed in the middle.
When it was a reasonable size, I said, "I showed this to Chad, before I
was fully psionic, and his eyes almost popped out of his head and into
the water." They laughed well. I said, "Then he insisted we show Pete,
and that's why we are doing all this now."
I said, "So you know your PK can see and manipulate energy, but what
exactly is it perceiving?" Ed said, "Electron energy states?" I said,
"That's part." Kam said, "Molecular motion, which is heat." I said,
"That's another. Any more?" Silence. I ported a big magnet to the
table, with clearly labeled North and Sough poles. They felt it with
their minds, and said they could feel the magnetic energy in the lines.
I said, "Your object sense can't do that. You're using your PK." Galya
said, "Could we have done this if we hadn't exercised our PK?" I said
"Right. You couldn't have. Oh, the adults are grumbling!" Laughter. Ed
said, "I have to say this. This is a lot of fun, and that's because of
how you are teaching. I love it!" They agreed. Galya said, "I think I
know why you're doing it this way. YOU love it." I nodded. I said, "I
think I like teaching. Mostly because I really love my students." We
all shared our love.
ported an old object to the table. I said, "You know about psychometry.
We are taught that it's a combination of the emotion and object
senses." Ed said, "We know you now. Wrong, weren't they." I gave him a
rude noise, and they laughed. I pointed at him and said, "They are
correct. Ha!" More laughter. I said, "But, PK is also included. All of
you, with PK, try to read the history of this object without touching
it." They did, with some success. I ported a memory crystal to the
table. Kam let out an excited "Oh!" I said, "It has modified pictures
of each of you in it. Tell me how you like them." All of them laughed
at their made up clown faces. Then they said a lot of wows. I said,
"Until now, only my father, and Kam and I, could read crystals without
touching them. Now all of you can." I looked at Ed, and he was more
surprised than anybody of the significance of that, because he was an
unmodified Adept, and an unprepared rescue. I said, "In the past, very
few Adepts could make complicated memory crystals. I think we'll find
that whose who were the best at it, had the strongest PK. Oh! The
adults are almost taking turns kicking each other." Some really hard
laughter.
I said, "That's all for today. Keep practicing lifting with your PK.
You can add feeling and perceiving energy with it, too. Next time,
laughed, and got up and came to hug and kiss me. In the usual after
lesson education committee meeting, Dad said to me, "Thanks for making
me feel stupid." I grinned and said, "You're welcome!" He grinned back,
and said, "I meant it, and it's a good thing. Good for increasing our
knowledge, and pointing out a flaw in our thinking, and for cementing
your leadership of the most er, intractable of our students." Pete
said, "Absolutely! All these years I slaved over making crystals!" I
said, "I'm sorry. I can't change the past, but we can all sure change
the future!" Mom said, "You've shown us that a direct reincarnation may
not be good for us. We advance more from a fresh viewpoint." I said, "I
like fresh." They chuckled. Pete said to me, "What do you have planned
for next?" I just looked mysterious. I got poked. I said, "I don't know
yet. I'll tell you this, though. A lot of things you teach only to
Adepts, isn't exclusive to them. For double Adept and S kids, if we
don't teach them when they can learn it, they are going to try it on
their own. I did, so they surely will. Do we think it's better, safer,
they should learn it in a controlled way?" Dad said, "Valid argument.
And your techniques are useful for full Adepts, too. Ed proves that." I
grinned, and said, "And I expect him to show his appreciation of that,
very physically, when he has the chance." They grinned back at me.
I said, "Proof of point. In the first contact class, I found I could
do it with a mental picture. And with a mental picture, I could grab
and lift objects in it. Wait! Another one. I could project a room full
of illusions, practicality indefinitely. Want to know why?" Dad said,
"Oh! With your personal interest and your academic specialty, you WOULD
know that." I nodded and said, "Being brought up knowing about
psionics, seeing it actually demonstrated in a very mundane way, has
dramatically lowered my innate resistance to psionics. Yes, the
resistance you assumed we all had as an external restriction, is
actually caused in part by our unfamiliarity with it and its apparent
non causal aspect. The parts of my brain that are involved with
managing psionics are better connected than in new regular students.
That's one of the reasons why it takes them longer, and that can last a
lifetime. They and I develop our potentials at a different rate because
of that. And they need more practice to build the proper neural
pathways. This is changing though, as society becomes more familiar
with psionics." Pete said, "Wow!" Mom looked very proud and said, "Yes.
He night even be a genius." They laughed.
I said, "One more thing. Adept raised kids don't lie. Regular raised
kids, do. They have to repair their mental faults before becoming their
best with psionics. Now the chicken and egg thing. Which came first, my
academic or personal interest in this subject?" Mom said, "I'll take a
swing at that. Parallel evolution." I said to her, "Oh Mom, how could
you?" They laughed, and hugged and kissed me well.
I was right about Ed's attempt to physically thank me. He organized a
really wild recess, with me the designated sex object. I didn't object
at all. It was terrific!
