Part 1 - 1997-02-06
With Europe becoming a hot potato can the Prime Minister hold on to his job? To make matters worse England are hosting the World Cup and a serial killer calling himself "World Cup Willie" - so called because he strikes during key matches - is on the loose. George Cragge of the BBC and Superintendent Jefferson are once more on the trail of a bizarre series of murders.
Part 2 - 1997-02-13
The World Cup murderer has struck again - this time the victim is a strongly pro Europe Conservative MP. In the Commons the Prime Minister is under more pressure to win a vote of No Confidence and Crime Correspondent George Cragge has everything to prove to his BBC bosses.
Part 3 - 1997-02-20
If George Cragge can keep close on the trail of the World Cup Murderer then his BBC job looks secure - for the time being at least. But when the prime suspects are the Deputy Prime Minister and the Prime Minister's wife getting to the facts is not an easy task.
Part 4 - 1997-02-27
Star England striker Danny Mole is the latest murder victim of World Cup Willie. DCI Frank Jefferson is convinced that the Deputy Prime Minister remains the Prime Suspect, but George Cragge is less certain.
Part 5 - 1997-03-06
BBC Crime Correspondent Geroge Cragge has been murdered - or has he? The true identity of the murderer has yet to be revealed, but the finger of suspicion points firmly in the direction of the Prime Minister's wife.
Part 6 - 1997-03-13
Against the backdrop of an England/Germany World Cup Final will the Prime Minister survive to lead his party into the imminent General Election? And will maverick BBC journalist George Cragge unmask the true identity of the serial killer World Cup Willie.
