DESCRIPTION
==================
When Robin Guthrie and Harold Budd work together, it sounds like they bring out the best in one another. All of their collaborative work is deep, interesting, and beautiful. And "Mysterious Skin" is the greatest soundtrack album ever made. By anyone. And it was made by them, alone - Budd and Guthrie. If any album deserves to be reissued, and on heavy vinyl with a gatefold sleeve, it's the "Mysterious Skin" soundtrack.
The "White Bird In A Blizzard" soundtrack is a satisfying listen. It doesn't have the endless replayability of "Mysterious Skin" - yet few records do. "The Moon And The Melodies" perhaps. And the stunning album Guthrie and Budd made with Eraldo Bernocchi, "Winter Garden" - a classic.
This is a Gregg Araki project, so it's the coolest thing on earth no matter what. And Robin Guthrie is a king.
Harold Budd is a poet.
