./ Note From Ripper /////////////////////////////////.
TOT releases music that is generaly out of the mainstream's ear. This music is
often done by musicians working very hard on their own to compose music which
matches their own unique visions regardless of the public's opinion. Because
these works of art rarely show the prospect of turning a profit for a label
they are ignored by the money grubbing pigs in charge of such institutions. As
such these works have limited exposure. TOT hopes to undermine the corporate
umbrella forcing artists to become pawns in a money making agenda which in
effect limits creative freedom and greatly reduces the marketplace of musical
ideas. As such many of our releases are on small labels or are self-released.
We hope that you understand the reasons for this and give these works the
respect they deserve.
We strongly encourage you to get in contact with the artist whos work we have
encoded (either for further information regarding the work, to obtain your
own physical copy of the release if possible, or whatever else you want).
These recordings were dehissed (or otherwise processed) and encoded primarily
for our own convinience, but because I know that it is often difficult to obtain
copies of limited edition, obscure, or old material we have made them avalible
to the public. Unlike major label artsits (who we have no objection against
"ripping off"), these musicians could actually use your support and feedback if
you are interested in them.
