I, too, run Agent.  I've not made the switch from v7.2 to the newest.

I was with Giganews, then I tried Agent's server and found it slower
and more prone to errors, so I went back to Giganews.  I am
considering finding a news server in Europe as I have found
news-europe.giganews.com to be down at times.

One problem I've found with Giganews is their tech support sometimes
-assumes- you know as much as they do, and thus they are impatient or
won't explain things well.  Luckily I've not needed their help.
