A photograph has captured the moment a siG.33 artillery gun is fired
during operation 'Winter Storm'. The operation was unleashed on 12
December 1942 by troops of Group Hoth, including elite units of the
Waffen SS. At first the attack went well, but within a matter of a
couple of days the Germans encountered fierce resistance from the
Soviet 5th Shock Army
