I've very familar with Vera and met her a few times.
Fact, is she was dancing and rehearsing dancing 15 hours a day.
There's no way she would have an eating disorder and maintain that
level of physical fitness. I talked to peple who danced with her and
they said that she ate a lot from the buffet but worked so hard
dancing that she didn't gain weight. Plus she was born naturally thin.
She was dancing for many years at the same intensity as a gymnast.
I perfer slim women and Vera is a absolute beauty. No eating disorder
at all and she would get angry at the suggestion of such. She
maintained her slim figure until she died and always ate normal size
meals from what I could see.
You're right, she could not sing, all her singing was dubbed. In White
Christmas, Clooney sang her parts.
I'm retired now as was a Cinematographer, while as an apprentice, I
met Vera many times.
