The Baltimore was a very handsome aircraft - one of those aircraft that
just looks right. Some interesting things in this article I didn't know
- that it had an auxiliary set of controls in the nose so that the
bomb-aimer/navigator could fly it, and that the type served right
through to the end of the war. For some reason, I thought it was taken
out of service once the North Africa campaign was over.
