The aircraft sits on the Zero-length launch (ZLL, ZLTO, ZEL, ZELL) platform / trailer in a horizontal
position, supported by it's tripod landing gear until it is raised into it's launch attitude. When it is
raised into position, the aircraft is still being partially supported by it's rear gear until it is actually
launched.
If I remember correctly, the JATO rocket delivers about 130,000 lbs. of thrust...... a real kick in the pants.
