Hi Fred,
Thank you for your suggestions.
I disabled Zone Alarm - that did not work.
I double checked the SSL servers - that did not work.
I changed to the SSL server addresses in Xnews (to download single files)
and left the user name and password untouched and changed the port - That
did not work. Xnews actually said it was connecting, but it did not
connect after 10 minutes.
sabnzbd I tried yesterday. When I clicked on the icon to start the
programme it informed that it could not start as something was already in
use. What it wanted me to change I could not find.
I have now emailed Astraweb help and they asked for configuration screen
shots and error messages. This I have done and am now awaiting their
reply as to what action I have to take.
