I don't know if these notes will help.
What I know is that the oldest WSK recordings I have are from the
1930s, most from 1937 and 1938, just before the war but if I'm not
wrong after the annexation of Austria by Germany.
I also have read that one touring WSK choir was in Australia when the
war broke out and could not get back to Europe. The boys were
apparently taken in by Sydney families and they became the nucleus (?)
of the choir of St Mary's Cathedral.
I have no idea if any recordings were made in Austria between 1939 and
1945 though I suppose this is quite possible.
I know some recordings were made during the war by other choirs,

As a matter of fact, the film "La cage aux rossignols" was made during
the war. This film was kind of remade as "Les Choristes".
