Here are some tips for newcomers.

1.
A daily post of new items is provided by Psychopath, but without book titles
(for his protection).
Download them all to browse or:
Download the "translation.txt" file to see the list of titles.

2.
A list with titles normally follows. This just gives the file name.
Use an nzb search engine (such as http://binsearch.info/) to find the post
you want to download.

3.
For other books try Mobilism.org, but you need to create an account to
search.
Be careful not to add malware when downloading files. See the ebook
announcement page for more info.

4.
Even more books are available on IRC, which you will need to install.
A good 'how to' is at:
http://www.calvinshub.com/2008/11/how-to-download-e-books-from-mirc/

5.
For out-of-copyright classics go to Project Gutenberg
(http://www.gutenberg.org/)
Also: http://manybooks.net//
Baen books provides a number of their SF titles for free at:
http://www.baenebooks.com/c-1-free-library.aspx

6.
For info on devices and file formats try:
http://wiki.mobileread.com/wiki/Main_Page

7.
For info on DRM: http://apprenticealf.wordpress.com/2010/02/11/hello-world/

8.
The best (IMHO) library and conversion software is Calibre
Free at:http://calibre-ebook.com/
