I've looked around the other replies and agree with most what has been said.
I've been using USB portable drives for quite some time now for backups but,
like you, feel the need to have a backup of a backup for really important bulky
stuff. It's expensive but soooo convenient. I am using "M" discs for critically
important stuff - a/ because I can't afford to lose stuff that's irreplaceable
and b/ because there's not that much of it and c/ - piece of mind.
I have a few friends and family members with old DVD players who refuse to move
with the times so I still burn DVDs for them. Also, my trusty old xbox360
requires them too.
