What I find is that the human brain can see and hear a 6% periodic
sampling of a video, then fill in mentally 90% of what is missing.
Same for reduced resolution.
Posting 1080p is nice, but in most cases a waste of resources. And
many of us with relatively slow internet still look for and post
versions less than 720p.
Well, yes, for someone who just bought a 77" high resolution LCD
display, they will want 1080p posts regardless of the original source
resolution. Buying the DVD may be a better solution.
Technology marches on as my eyes grow weaker, not capable of seeing
the difference.
