Hiya PggLeg, I too Have an old Mac - pre Intel so very limited as to what can
be done with it. I only use it to peruse the web, a job it's still very good at.
Have you ever considered a media player I have this very small one which I take
on holiday with me.

It will play anything you throw at it .It has HDMI & 5.1 sound. It'll support a
4 terabyte drive too. You can even stream movie directly from your PC/MAC. I
load a 128 gig pendrive up with a couple of weeks worth of proggies and stick it
in my pocket.
