Have about 1,000 CD's and DVD's filled with things downloaded and
copied from local public libraries. They all cough and complain, even
trying to read them on the same machine that wrote them.
Then I bought a very cheap, refurbished, Win8 laptop with a DVD player
that must have newer electronics or a shorter wavelength laser (blue)
and that reads everything, no problems.
Laptop also has USB 3.0 ports for speed, large LCD screen, 700GB hard
drive, etc., etc. I bet the whole thing, including shipping,
costs less than an M-Disc.
