On the face of it, Sammy, one would think we all
should be taking lessons from you in
"how to download", given the theme of your
banner post.
Ah ha.. but wait, there is more!

You have shown by comments over the past months
you do care and you do listen, so here goes at
passing you some information.

In 2004 GN was the "server of choice", and, yes.. I did
urge many to subscribe to that service, at that time.
However, NSP business is as dynamic as I am sure
you have found ISP business, in the past.
GN no longer holds the position it once did as a
"preferred server" for that which we (ABCP) do here.
The server administration has demonstrated
they are no longer either "safe" to post from or
indeed 'safe' to admit you have downloaded
something of Copyright content, using that server.
The link below  is just one of many sob stories from
users of that service, I include this one because
of the datestamp. There are many more post 2006.

Ok.. why the lecture?
Simple really.
GN will today allow _anything_ to pass across it servers.

You recall those early <*.avi> files loaded with malware
which were posted here in ABCP?
Giganews servers distributed them.
For more than 8months now GN has allowed the hosting of
malware (virus, worms and trojans) on their servers in
the majority of binary groups. To date the Admin has
refused to cooperate in cleaning this mess up.

Soooo, what I said initially.. in saying servers are
rejecting Sally's posts, holds true.
Given the evidence GN servers will host anything.

I have checked across 3 paid subscriptions of mine, and
two free ones. NONE of them are carrying all of Sallys
latest attempt at getting these files up.
What is the prime problem for filters
on these servers, filters that GN does
not run?
The size of the articles, Sammy.
All of these articles are OBZ - One Big Zip.
No server -- that is well managed -- under current RFC
guidelines is going to _ever_ hold posts of the structure Sally has
used. Sally maxed out _good_ servers very quickly.
What to do?
There is only _one_ answer.
Sally has to learn how to post files, End of story.
Posts such as you make under your banner rocket do
not help her, do not help anyone else and long term,
do not help you.

I trust you can see this.

In closing;
Usenet  parlance describes your post is a "neena post",
or..
"hey I got it, so there!".

Fine if you did. What would have been helpful was to
restructure the post and repost it correctly.
That would help everyone, including Sally.
It is obvious Sally believes if she posts something
she will get something. Whilst that too is not "true",
it is a place to start in showing her  "how to post".

Thanks for your time in listening..

cheers
