You also haven't said what's actually happening. Have you installed
the applications? Did they appear to install OK? What EXACTLY happens
when you try to start the application(s). Do they start at all? If
not, what happens? If they do, at what point does something NOT happen
that should, and how does it manifest itself?
If the apps are installed, you can try them in compatibility mode. If
it's anything like XP, RIGHT-click on the icon you use to invoke the
program and select 'properties' from the pop-up menu. There should be
a 'compatibility' tab in the resulting dialog box.
