The attachment is binary, (something is attached as opposed to just
text) and fup is short for follow up.

You will notice in the Groups window that there are two types of
groups. Those that say alt.binaries.* and those that say alt.*
(* being the variable group name).
Those that say binaries allow the posting of files, or attachments.
Those that don't say binaries should NOT have attachments posted to
them. You risk being smacked by your server, if they arrive at all.
Some servers block attachments to alt.* groups.
We have a sister group for ABCP. ASME, or alt.sewing.mach-embroider.
Notice the lack of the word "binaries" in the name.
Technically we were supposed to talk about embroidery "over there" and
post files here.... never happened!
We all just gas bag here! They pretend we don't exist!
