I "get it".. thanks.

Ok. will do.
This 'solution' may well answer the need to get NB users on the
same page as the rest of us. As strange as it is - as a way just to
read posts - it is worth a try.
Do please ignore the reactive
"From: memories <meow@meowww.org>"
stealth of your advice.
Pay him no attention as we are all here together for the long haul.
The guy is wrong in thinking he can impact on this group or myself
in any way, as I do believe you know.
Together all of us can benefit from ignoring the fool.

mmm.. Ok.

As do all of us who know :-)

err.. are you interested in making a few screen shots and adding some
text notes to add to the files in what is being posted as "Usenet tool stash"??
Think of a process where by you need to do steps to
"delete existing headers" and "download all headers"
as a way to refresh the list.
You understand where I am pointing?
That process appears to be a stall point for a lot of folk when a
download falls over. Not just Newsbin users either, I would add.
If you wish I can add the changes as soon as.

mmm.. Pixie, I will do up a repost shortly.
I am seeing something I have to revisit in the <agent.ini file>
which will require some test posts (binary) to adjust size
of articles.
I cannot put up the old archive until those changes are made.
The tools I have not got with me, sowwy.
*and*
Be aware it is not good policy to have "raw" warez posted into
groups like ABCP. It sets a precedent whereby folks might go the
way of requesting anything, simply because they know there is
someone here who will post it.
For example? One copy of Winrar looks like another to many.
yet there is only one that is compatible both to both old and new
versions of Winrar. That copy is in the archive yet I have seen
others post other versions into ABCP.with disastrous results.
Those "rogue" installs set the scene for corruption with
"winrar will not open these files".

Agreed.
Most impressive, and very welcome :-)
