Yes, an excellent post by niemand.
While I have your ear, mia, might I ask you follow
niemand's good example and _listen_ to what help
you are given?
Like, please quit doing banner posts?
It is not "cute", it is not "helping" and it certainly
is not any appreciation of a posters work.
The poster might spend HOURS getting a post together
and you cannot spend more than two seconds to type up
a banner post to say "thank you" in type.
I have read more appreciation into the sympathy card
George Dubbya wrote to Bin Laden when
Abu Musab al-Zarqawi was killed!!
In this instance I (for one) *know* niemand spent
a good deal of effort in finally getting this post right.
Should you do read more than your own requests
you would know this.. and
give the guy a hearty PoB - Pat on Back.
-->niemand
I am choked with appreciation of this final effort,
the post is of top quality and a fine example as to
"how to".
I understand the road (for you) was not easy, but
you got there.
Post in this way anywhere on Usenet and your
work will be greatly appreciated.
Now, some fine tuning?
This is not criticism, but simply suggestion.
You will recall those "Kellys Catalogue " posts
and the huge amount of bandwidth (and work)
required to upload those?
The prime reason was the size. None of those
posts were "webified". In other words PDF taken
straight from a CD or a scanner delivers a huge file
with a lot more information (bytes) than is actually
required to read the document.
This can be fixed by running the file through
another PDF printer using settings that reduce
the size.
I could say how I do it but maybe you want to
find your own way?
You could also ask CQ (Crazy Quilter) as that lady
had the same problem and fixed it herself.
I have reposted the file just as an example of
what can be done. Do not take the post as any
criticism of your work at all.
It *is* only an example.
Cheers.. and again, very well done, kudos!
oh.. and welcome :-)
