yes... it is complicated, but have a think about it?
IF "wendy" had the clues you offer the lady would
not have had to make the post.
The dude making the noise IS well aware of
points you make and is also well aware of
how to subvert same.... well, most of the "standard stuff".
IT isn't quite up to speed with what is available so please
resist educating IT by quoting further examples on
what to do in making a "Welcome to Usenet" miserable
for those It chooses to attack.
Do not get me wrong, your advice is good.
Just not relevant in this NG.
Average age here is 70+, and most are just using a
computer to access embroidery work.
Nothing else is of any interest, at all.
Not even the attempts at starting a flame war :-D

"response"/"direction"??
.. green apples V red apples.

Quick version?
"hopper" is my posting ID for this NG, and this NG only.
The guy(loose use) making the noise decided it was fair
play to begin forging my ID a few months ago.
There is a huge chip on IT's shoulder.
You will not find these lines in my headers, ever.

Using "X-Newsreader: Microsoft Outlook Express 6.00.2900.5931"???
There are those here would take on board a tutorial
on how to do such a thing.. in MOE.
Feel free.. lead on.
/clears the stage

There are no binary files here anyone in the
mainstream of Usenet will want.
The name of the group is misleading.
That too is a long story.
The short version of which is... someone a long time ago
issued a cmsg when they had no clue on the
doing.. ABCP was born.
again.. thanks for the tutorial, if it can happen.
