Don't sew it, just look and say if that is the sort of
"build" you want.
I can then change a few things to improve it, as a
"patch".

Our young fella is in the Service, you may have seen me
mention DOTN - Defender Of The Nation - ??
Well... what his unit does is wear all their stuff on a
Velcro system. It can be ripped off in an instant but
wont fall off by itself under stress.
Their "patch" is sewn to a Velcro half and the location
on the uniform/kit carries a percentage of the other
half. It works well.
