And with ten points granted for effort.. I suggest
you do this job in layers, changing the stitch angle to
get the "shading effect" at the edges of the shapes or
where you desire them to be.
Attached is a rough layout of what I see as one way
forward. Take little notice of the colours, that's
art :->
Jes concentrate on the layering effect.
