ok.. be aware of two things as "options".
One... always remember to switch the "path" option in WinRaR
archive screen when doing "individual files".
The default is set for "folders"
Second.. when you get familiar with the process you can
change the archive byte size to suit individual posts.
Like.. IF you post to a DVD group you may get "yelled at"
for posting in 1.5MB "chunks", those guys like 5MB "chunks".
Effectively.. when you know what to do in each group you
post to, you then have the freedom to choose what size "chunk"
to use.
Usenet is that flexible :-)

.. I am just happy (and so would be many others) that your
posting will improve dramatically. You have a good head for Usenet.
Used wisely you will do very well here (ABCP).
Go check out what I made of your original test post, this will
help you in deciding just how +you+ choose to build your uploads.
There is no requirement to copy what I do.. I just make the example
so as to make it easier for some.
.. thanks for listening.

"eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month"
In Flanders' fields the poppies blow,
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place: and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.
