Positives in all of it, eh ? :)

I do hope it wears well :-)
As you can see I am no sewer and thus my 'engineering' is
largely based on what others (who do know) produce and
recommend. There is then always the risk of something
"undoing". It is only my mistakes that will assist me in
growing. As devout are my efforts I am aware they
are not like the rest of me... perfect :-^

For future thought?
I have done this before, not with a lot of success in ABCP I will admit..
but it may be worth another run as the noise has abated some these days.
It is this...
For XP users/devotees (only) I have a "method" for archiving and restoring
a new computer that does away with "reformat and reinstall", as such.. and
greatly simplifies the restoration of a box as the user has set it up.
We all know it can take days.. weeks even, to get a new install back
to that same configuration used when the whole thing went BANG!.
Today.. with Microshaft having largely left XP users behind
(as they do with all their GUIs) there is no chance XP is going beyond
XP-SP3 as an "upgrade on line".
For the majority of users SP3 will fulfill all functions well into the future
and MS is unlikely to place restrictions on hardware that will outdate that
version of the XP GUI ... in the foreseeable future.
I can see people looking to using a stable system well beyond
Windows 7 (another social experiment of MS doing) and therefore
quietly offer an upload with directions that will allow the astute user
to maintain control of their box in a 32bit environment AND restore
the whole thing to "as I had it" in just a <1 hour timeframe.
This method is what I use on the Windows boxes I control and have
done since XP-SP1 "hit the streets".
IF that "speil" promotes any interest, merely tag the post for
directions to an upload.
>talk soon my friend.
Looking forward to that.. and your thoughts on my 'David'
so far I have only had not so complimentary feedback.. and that is
good too :-)
