The history is quickly this.
<a.b.d.m-c> was (pre 2002/3) a very quiet backwater of Usenet
where "nice people" swapped many a file.
Then along came the FTD [Dutch binary posting 'club'), and, as they
did in every single group they invaded, they trashed the place.
News providers dropped the group.
Now it lies abandoned.. by those "nice people".
The FTD no longer want it either (it seems) so it has again become a
quiet place for nice people to post stuff not easily accessed
elsewhere.
That does not mean you will always find "nice people" posting there
today. Arseholes are just that... an' they will post wherever they get
an audience.
If you want the long version of the story.. just ask.
I assume you are asking as I have been pointing to that group
in using some "extra" posts to ABCP.
If it helps you can access the froup using any of the very reasonable
deals from these providers:

Look for "block deals" and if you need any assistance with
working through that, just yell.
